I charged it up, placed it by my table top grill while I was cooking burgers & grilled onions. I noticed the onion odor was not as strong as it used to be. It also helped draw the heat away from the area which was a big plus for me. Then later I replaced the filter and placed this near my sink as a fan while cleaning up! Then placed it by my laptop while working! Served several purposes to my liking.
I do think the tripod stand could be a bit more stable, as it does tend to topple over if aimed to low. All in all this is very handy to have and I will be putting it to good use.

did not want to install a full blown hood, this is just the ticket to catch the smokiness from occasional spirited sizzle etc. The included tripod is well made, or you can suspend it from a pivoting handle of sorts

Arrived quickly packaged well. Pretty straight forward to set up. There was an extensive instruction booklet included to help if necessary. Came with additional filters. It appears to me they are also washable. I used it next to my Emeril oven yesterday and it worked great. What I am disappointed in is that it has to be plugged in to operate. It is not 'portable' because of that. But I'm not concerned as it will live next to my Emeril oven and there's a USB plug right there. Overall, I'm happy with the purchase. I only gave 4 stars because of it not being operable without being plugged in. Oh, and it does fit under my cabinets. I just spread the tripod out more until it fit.
Update...impossible to disassemble to clean!
